Dr. Bueno is a fellowship-trained facial surgeon with comprehensive training and surgical expertise in both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures of the face. After graduating from UC Berkeley, he earned his MD from UT Southwestern and DDS from Columbia University, where he received the highest grade in their head & neck anatomy course. This led to Dr. Bueno being chosen for the unique opportunity to do facial plastic surgery research, where he was exposed to rhinoplasties and facelifts, and he fell in love.
Dr. Bueno completed a demanding six-year surgical residency at the prestigious Parkland Memorial Hospital and its associated hospitals, where he worked under several national leaders. There, he trained extensively in functional, aesthetic, and reconstructive surgery of the face through the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery, furthering his desire to pursue advanced fellowship training along the way.
Upon completing his residency, Dr. Bueno matched into a highly competitive cosmetic surgery fellowship program in Nashville, TN, accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. As a fellow, he worked under the expert guidance of surgeons in facial plastic surgery, oculoplastic surgery, plastic surgery, head and neck surgery, and cosmetic surgery.
During his fellowship, he participated in an expansive caseload and gained tremendous experience with extended deep plane face and neck lifts, rhinoplasties, blepharoplasties, brow lifts, and facial volume augmentation procedures. After spending two years there honing his skills, he and his family outgrew their Nashville bungalow and decided to return to their roots in Northern California to open the practice.
Dr. Bueno is board-certified in maxillofacial surgery and a member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. As a diplomate of both the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Bueno promises to offer the highest standard of care to each and every patient, focusing on safe, contemporary, and effective techniques.
